With all of us, it's 13 people and my parents don't have that much sleeping space, so we have gone up to Door County for Christmas twice now and my parents got us hotel rooms near their house and we sleep there.

It's fun, even at the hotel, because the place has a big "family" room with a tv, a computer, and games. It was a place for my sisters and spouses to sit and talk together, before we all went to our separate rooms to sleep.

I'm glad you had so much fun.DawnKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14206456991319085667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22168053.post-55138028546312243952009-08-10T16:59:30.649-04:002009-08-10T16:59:30.649-04:00Gret,

Everything you said rang true for me! My dad passed away 7 years ago and when I recently asked my now 16 year old nephew what he remembers about papa, he said he remembers chasing him around the house playing, "grandpa is a chicken" - a game the grands invented! You are so right - I wouldn't trade it for anything!
PattiAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05002843505863721640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22168053.post-7421408657762826552009-08-03T13:59:42.638-04:002009-08-03T13:59:42.638-04:00Just so you know, now that we're back home, Rh...Just so you know, now that we're back home, Rhy has been calling Sydney's name all morning, wondering where she went!!
